TakeTurns Tips: Changing the subject of your collaboration

In TakeTurns, as your project evolves, so can your subject line. TakeTurns will still keep things organized.

This is different from email, where the subject you start with is the subject of your thread, for life!  Or, change it and risk breaking your thread and confusing participants. If you do change an email subject line, the old one can come back from the dead if someone replies to an old message.

You don’t have to worry about any of these problems in TakeTurns. We recommend changing the subject when you’re working on a new phase of a multiphase collaboration. When the focus of your work changes to the next phase, go ahead and change the subject. Changes to the subject are posted in your collaboration’s chat, so no one will be confused. The new subject line will ensure that everyone knows you’ve made it to the next stage of your project and allow them to refocus appropriately.

How to change the subject of your collaboration

  1. Enter the collaboration you wish to edit
  2. Open the collaboration menu (the ellipsis in the upper right-hand corner) and choose Edit.
  3. Edit the details by clicking on the pen icons
  4. Enter the new name of the collaboration
